So, I've wanted to jump out of a plane for some years now. I did my first (and last) tandem jump a week ago. I've since then completed my first AFF and been back to the dz with friends only to be rained out. So it looks like I'm hooked and won't stop until I can fly like my instructors. I wanna have fun too, and right now I'm too busy learning to truly enjoy the freefall. Speaking of learning...does anyone know of a wind tunnel facility in the Chicagoland area where I can practice my freefall? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Noticed you did your jumps at CSC--did my first one there about a month ago and my second 2 weekends ago. Second time around was more cerebral (learning how to turn, pulling the chute, doing the safety check, etc.) but just as amazing as the first. Great group of people out there. Trying to decide if I want to go for the certification course now or wait for the spring. Totally bites that winter is just around the corner!

yeah man, I'm not too much of a winter type. But hell, I already planned on being out of Chicago much of the winter surfing. Now I've got another addiction to feed...jeez! I'll have to rob a bank in order to afford all the fun! the CSC staff is a big part of my love for the sport I think. They're totally awesome. Well, I'll be there again this weekend Friday by my lonesome, and Saturday with a crew of friends. Best of luck and happy flying!
