Tailgate 0 #1 August 26, 2003 I just completed my first AFF level after 2 tandems and all I can say is WOW. Does anyone know of a convenience store I can knock off to pay for a rig?. Seriously, I never knew why anyone would jump but now i don't know why anyone wouldn't. I never liked flying in a small plane, but now that it is gets me to altitude it doesn't seem to bother me as much ( as long as I get to jump instead of land). I am starting this a loittle late in life but now I will search for a fountain of youth so I can make this last a loooooong time _________________________________________________ Let me live in my house by the side of the road and be a friend to man- Sam Walter Foss

themitchyone 0 #3 August 26, 2003 Cool. I just did level one last Monday and two will be on Saturday. In fact, I will be taking my second flight in a small plane to the Dropzone. Yikes, is this really tempting fate?? I'm a little nervous about two, but still I can't wait, and like you I'm spending money I don't have to skydive. How could you not? Happy flying to you. Tailgate 0 #5 August 26, 2003 Actually I just forgot to turn the bold off after WOW but it conveys my feelings well anyway. I have also noticed that my wife and friends are starting to get that glazed over, glass eyed look whenever I start talking about jumping. _________________________________________________ Let me live in my house by the side of the road and be a friend to man- Sam Walter Foss

Jayruss 0 #9 August 26, 2003 Welcome, you'll need to knock off a few convenience stores. I believe being a crack addict would be cheaper . . . __________________________________________________ "Beware how you take away hope from another human being." -Oliver Wendell Holmes
Fast 0 #10 August 26, 2003 QuoteQuote friends are starting to get that glazed over, glass eyed look whenever I start talking about jumping. Get used to itJ For sure. I have given up on talking about skydiving around all but one of my friends/family. They don't seem to get how I could go on for hours about one 60 second jump and all the things that are lelated to it. I think they are just missing something hehe ~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. McDuck 0 #11 August 26, 2003 Congratulations on your jumps, amigo! Oh and don't worry about that glazed look. My father said he questioned my sanity...but I think he was referring to when I used to work with leopards, pumas and tigers. He's behind me 99.2% on skydiving...ready to take photos from the ground. I'll get him sighned up for a tandem yet, and I've already sold my sister on at LEAST a tandem.
