bh79 0 #1 August 23, 2003 Hey! I am new here and just made my first jump today -AFF1. I have seen a few references to buying beer, can anyone explain this further? I think I might already be in debt since it was my first jump. I also couldn't find my PC - the jump wasn't as scary as I thought it would be until I reached back twice and grabbed nothing- but the JM was kind enough to pull it for me. Is there a cure for this? lazyfrog 0 #4 August 23, 2003 Hi there, welcome to the real world. Happened nearly the same to me... Actually I was so rigid my instructor had to take my arm, bend it and put my hand on the PC... I was soooo rigid...I hated so much that feeling that I had to go up again, more relaxed. skymama 37 #5 August 23, 2003 Welcome to the forums! If you do a search of the forums, you'll find a lot of different opinions on when you buy beer. Some say it's for anything you do that you do as a "first". Others say it's only on momentous occasions. For you, I just think you need to buy it at the end of your student progression. One case, imported. Trust me, if you buy it, they will come. mctyeire 0 #7 August 25, 2003 "Is there a cure for this?" I've read all the research. There is no cure for this affliction, but it is treatable. You must complete a training sequence, purchase gear, and fly it as often as your finances, work schedule, and significant other will tolerate.
