SkyAnt 0 #1 April 28, 2003 Last night I felt really depressed and I wasn't sure why, then my girlfriend said "When was the last time you jumped out of a plane". Sound familiar? I just turned 30 and have allot of important things I should be concentrating on right now like, work, study, my personal life, getting rid of my debt, saving for a home. But my thoughts are easily distracted from these things to Skydiving and all the cool stuff I want to buy. I am new to this sport for the second time. Any thoughts/advice? ccowden 0 #4 April 28, 2003 I have always found that I can escape "reality" when I an at the DZ and jumping! Skydiving and the real world can be balanced to create a less stressful and overwhelming exsitance.
Fireflyer 0 #5 April 28, 2003 i feel the pain. i am more the irrational type tho, and skydiving is taking a big part of my life. think of what you would rather have, i.e. no debt or a few jumps, and see what feels better to have. try to integrate both. i involve my SO in my activities, and put a little away, but spend some also on my hobbies. i study less and could get farther in my career, but i work to live, not the reverse. its a about compromise, and skydiving is something you can integrate i feel if you try!
