In all honesty, I don’t know the first thing about sky diving... but I have this idea that it must be something, kind of like, how you would feel if you met god face to face and said "Oh hey. What’s up?"

I need to get a real perspective on life... and I think this might help... LOL

Well, in a tandem, you're strapped onto someone else and are just there for the ride and for the enjoyment. I would say that is the main way that most people start (excluding the military people), just to see if they like it. Then, you would go into student training if you wish to proceed further. Or, you always have the option of going straight into training, and skipping the tandem.

Welcome to DZ.COM ... a tandem jump is highly recommended as a great way to introduce yourself to this totally awesome sport. But hopefully you weigh less than 210 lbs as that is sort of the max weight limit (differs from DZ to DZ) that you can be to try a tandem jump.

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Well, I'm not sure how much I'd trust some one to pull that cord on time... LOL we'll see what I decide on once I get to know more about this...

So… I know everything’s not cheap in the sky diving world... but what kind of $$$ are we talking about? Is there anyway to do things cheaper? Or is it all the same? Also are the any age/weight limits I need to know about?

Hi. Welcome to DZ.com. :)
Pricing depends on which DZ you go to. If you look in the Dropzones section of DZ.com, you can go to the DZ's website that you are interested in jumping at.

Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

I have never done a tandem. Wanted to be "solo" for my first jump, even though I had my 2 Jumpmasters w/ me until I opened.(canopy out that is) I have been hooked ever since.

Dont think of money as a how much... it just hurts. Think if it as pennace for your adventure!! B|
