Hi all, ;)
I'm new to the sport and have just completed my 1st Square Canopy Static Line. :)I have done a Round Canopy S/L about 11 years ago. :)I did my Course at the North london Parachute Centre at Chatteris, UK. Its about a 2¼hr drive from me but well worth it! So over the weekend I'd travelled about 425 miles. A great place, friendly people and a great instructor! My jump went really well, Good exit (Just need to look up more to get a better arch) and a very good landing! No ground rush like before with the rounds. :(

Just cannot wait til next month now, when I'll be going again, would like to average at least 2 jumps a month and work towards my Cat 8. B|

Such a great forum, with lots of info, friendly people and advice. :)
Keep up the good work and be safe!

Thanks all
BagPuss

Hi again and thanks for such a warm welcome.
I wont be waiting this long to do my next jump I can promise you that ;)
Already waiting for my next one, which I'm hoping will be in a couple of weeks.

As for my screen name, Well BagPuss was a Childrens TV Programme many many years ago. Ok 1970's so yes I'm now 32 :P
It basically started when I first went onto the internet. Everyone else had nicknames etc but I didn't so I thought of different characters etc, and so BagPuss just seem right for me.

I'm also known in our UK car club which I run the Norfolk Region for the last 5 years (www.clubgti.com). I have a VW Scirocco Scala i, which is my other love. Had 3 Scirocco's in 16 years. Just a love affair really.

Just out of curiosity, what were you thinking of when you heard the name????;)

BTW welcome Baggy, good to see another Brit on board.

Thanks for the link, Dave! Bagpuss was cute, but as far as this description goes...."All in all, he's just an old, saggy cloth cat. Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams", it seems a little funny that he would use it as his screen name.
But then, aren't you a gnome or a troll or something like that? You Brits are a funny lot!

I'm not telling you what thoughts ran through my head when I read it! :)
