judyindeskys 0 #1 January 18, 2003 Wow! I feel like I know you all after checking things out the last few weeks, so thought it was time to say "hi". I did my first tandem for my 45th birthday. It was a Christmas gift from my husband who did his first tandem for his 50th last year. We took our solo school together with the Ne PA Ripcords ... Great People! We're anxious to start back up in the spring. I've learned alot from DZ.com and really appreciate that you don't make "newbies" feel like ... well ... newbies! So "hi" and I think it's time for another Cosmo!

judyindeskys 0 #9 January 20, 2003 You are so right! It just took me 45 years to work up the nerve to "take the leap". Wish I'd have done it 25 years ago! Thanks! Jude

Jude[/reply Welcome Judy, I didn't start until I was 39! I laid off for two years and came back with a vengence, 1138 jumps later, more memories than a lifetime should allow. This rocks. I competed last year in the TSL with "Random Chaos" in 4 way. Don't ever consider your age as a handicap! I plan on going to nationals in 4 or 8 way open before I'm done! From now on, the sound of a low-flying plane will prick your ears like a dog who hears a bag of dogfood opening. Also, on commercial flights, you will forever feel trapped and helpless.
