Making my first pair or freefly pants

Recommended Posts

I just got my riggers ticket in January at Dave DeWolf's course, and since getting the ticket, I have been busting my ass trying to get good at using a sewing machine. I've made a gear bag for my rigging tools, and have sewed a bunch of patches on suits and things, so now I am getting bold and have decided to make some free fly pants.

"WhyWearFlyWear?" is on it's way.........lol

Have Fun. I made myself a pair last fall. They turned out alright, but the waistband was a pain in the ass.

*However long you think is long enough when you cut them out, leave another 6 inches! I though I'd been generous with the length, but when I put on the cuff they were just long enough.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Here are some of the pants I made. If you need a few pointers, do hesitate to PM me.
I am not a rigger but I can definitely sew some pants that hold up in freefall... :P:P:P

Really, sewing is not the hard part... the hard part is to work the pattern right so you don't end up with a potatoes sack!

PM me if you want to know about the farbrics you can use and where to find it...
