BoostedXT 0 #2 March 24, 2004 I dont see why not...just when you use rubbing compound dont scrub to hard. You will literally put a hole in it. That stuff is ruff...... Go: Meguirs Scratch X remover..... Polish compound wax... With that slick surface just keep in mind no one will keep up with you in a head down. Stickers are wonderful things, they cover so many imperfections. I'd suggest asking the folks at Bonehead before attacking your helmet with anything other than a sticker. firstime 0 #6 March 25, 2004 Keep them there and put a sticker pointing to each dent. The yellow one is the porter, these 2 white ones are from the caravan etc and dont wash the grass stains off either. Sometimes it's funny when the day is done and someone says ooooh man was that you that went bump on the way out... yeah that was me.. ya wanna see. nbblood 0 #7 March 25, 2004 I bought a used Aviator FF helmet that was pretty badly scratched and had some holes drilled in it etc., I sanded it down, went to Walmart and got some Bondo and filled in the deep scratches and holes, re-sanded it, then took it to an auto body guy. For $40 he painted it my custom color and it looked brand new and I loved it. Of course, since then it's got battle scars and they're ok too, I can always get it painted again. Many people paint helmets themselves too. Think about a custom job and match your gear while you're at it. Just a thought.
