crazydiver 0 #1 March 24, 2004 I have a Javelin NJ made in 1996. It is fully articulated. Between the top of the soft reserve handle and the cable housing, about an inch and a half of cable is exposed. I am going to have my rigger tack the housing to the chest strap by the chest ring, but it still leaves the cable exposed. Is this much of a risk of catching the cable and pulling the reserve? I see it all the time on other rigs, but it still seems like a person should be extra careful on climbouts and on grips near my reserve rip cord. Any thoughts? livnbored 0 #2 March 24, 2004 not sure if you're explaining this right, but does it go through the chest strap..the housing that is? Sometimes, I've seen riggers forget to pull the housing through the chest strap and it kind of leaves it dangling and lose, but...I'd think this would be very evident, so I'm not too sure if this is what you mean.... Can you show a picture, or better yet, just bring it to your rigger!!

PhreeZone 20 #4 March 24, 2004 When yo move and flex that cable usually dissapears up the now uncompressed houseing. Nothing to worry about. If something is snagging that little piece of cable you would be in a world of hurt with a regular D ring handel.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
