yuri_base 1 #2 October 9, 2006 FWIW, with barometric GPS (Vista C) it's horizontal "steps" (about quarter or half a mile) due to reflections/interference from the wall that are the problem. Vertical data seems to be reasonably accurate. KrisFlyZ 0 #4 October 9, 2006 Got my friends GPS log today. This was from a two way from the ITW. I jumped an edge 205 and he jumped an edge 305(barometric alti). After some analysis like distance(both horizontal and vertical) between the two gpses and map overlay during the logging period the conclusion is that the GPSes were accurate(within usual error tolerances). The 205 data was much smoother than the data from the edge 305. Since the barometer was mounted on his helmet, this is not surprising at all. On another jump(solo during which the head does not move much after exit) from his logs...the barometric GPS data was quite good except for one point where the reading on immediate points(one sec interval) was the same(possibly when he looked up to check his flight path).
