Maxim 0 #2 October 8, 2006 If your asking if 300feet is high enough. then yes it is. i have not done a 300feet bridge personally but have done 170feet over land.. and 120feet over water. Life is Great. Even Greater what we do with it.

d_goldsmith 1 #4 October 8, 2006 Uh-oh. Don't do anything stupid. Landing area, possible object strikes (if it's a bridge you still have to worry about trees, canyon walls, and possibly more), and how you plan on getting a parachute over your head are all very important too. Edited to add: Hopefully you're already considering those points, but the way the previous posts go, it seems like you figured since 300 is high enough your going for it. adventurechick 0 #7 October 8, 2006 No, don't worry! I'm not jumping it! There is a tall bridge in my home town and my friend and I were talking about it and what ifs. I don't own BASE gear, nor have I been trained... so I'm not about to jump it!! PMS #449 TPM #80 Muff Brother #3860 SCR #14705 Dirty Sanchez #

Adventurechick, use your skydiving gear. a 28" pc will work, but a 32 is a bit better. make sure you dive off the bridge, not feet down, you could get a bridal wrap. and smaller canopies are better, especialy for 300' bridges. if your not open and flying by 200' then try the reserve. those are packed better. and open everytime. good luck! let us know! -SPACE-
CanuckInUSA 0 #11 October 9, 2006 I've static lined as well as been PCAed off of a 180 foot span. So 300 feet is very jumpable. Just make sure you're using the right gear, the right gear configuration and well you know that the #### you're doing in the BASE environment since 300 feet is still very low and not at all like any sort of skydive you have ever made or ever will make. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
