KrisFlyZ 0 #1 June 23, 2006 No, I don't need gear from you . I purchased some gear from a manufacturer in the USA and paid with a wire transfer. Due to some screw up by the bank, an extra 20 USD was charged along the way. The manufacturer has shipped the gear and I want to get the money bit sorted without paying a 100 dollars in transfer fees for a 20 dollar transfer. I live in the U.K and can send you postal orders or deposit the money into your bank account. Please Help. Kris.
skreamer 1 #2 June 23, 2006 You can get US$20 from your local post office or bank. Post it to the manufacturer. Job done.

GravityGirl 0 #8 June 25, 2006 I know that when I receive an incoming wire from another country, my bank charges me $15 - $20 dollars. Is that what happened? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
KrisFlyZ 0 #9 June 25, 2006 The fee was included in the amount I specified to be transferred. Looks like the amount was routed thru two banks in the US and an extra fee got charged. Kris.
GravityGirl 0 #10 June 25, 2006 Yup. It's official. The banks are making all of the money. Generally with a wire transfer ANY bank that touches it, yours, the sellers and anything inbetween gets to charge a fee. Almost every payment I receive comes up about $20 dollars short. Then on top of that my bank hits me for $15. But it's better than credit card fees on large dollar amounts. Hope you work it all out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
