Would you sell it to someone for use as an intentional cutaway canopy? (I'm collecting canopies that I wouldn't mind losing.)
dgskydive 0 #27 March 5, 2004 QuoteAs long as you are upfront with a potential buyer about your experience with that particular canopy (ie the turn), I don't see any reason not to offer it for sale. If someone decides to buy it they'll know exactly what they are getting, and imho that's fair. If it was priced cheap enough it might be worth it to someone to buy it and send it back to the manufacturer to be checked out like was suggested above. Agreed. The second part is key. Price it fair make it easy for them to buy it.Dom
Stacy 0 #28 March 5, 2004 sure would, billvon! It's still fun to fly around, kinda drops outta the sky, but it still has the *jedei* characteristics, diving turns, etc etc. Just no fun to land since it doesn't have much uumphf anymore. I just posted it in the classifieds with my info. __
rendezvous 0 #29 March 5, 2004 I would say show it to a good rigger. If he feels good about it then he knows better and you can sell it without guilt even if you aren't comfortable with using it. Everyone has a different choice and yours may not be this one. If the rigger says it's not safe and a bit ify then it's your own moral call. If you don't sell it make a tent or a cool looking wind sheeter out of it.
