GeeeeeeFly 0 #1 March 3, 2004 So I have been having problems with my leg straps on my Voodoo. After the canopy has left the bag as I start to settle into saddle my leg straps have a tendency to loosen more than expected. I have only had the container for less than a year (7 months) and I am already having problems. I have used bees wax on the leg straps in order to get the hardware to grip better, I have also used surf wax (which works extremely well) but I am thinking that maybe I am stowing the excess incorrectly or something. I usually tighten down the leg straps while I am sort of in a half squat in order to get a snug feel. Then place the excess into the rest of the leg strap pad. I do not S fold as I have had this come undone and do not enjoy having the excess strap flapping about while upside down. Help, any advice would be useful from Voodoo owners around the globe... tinfoil 0 #2 March 3, 2004 Tried calling RI? My experence with their customer support has been great, and most of the experences posted on this forum have been the same. “- - Sumo is the greatest of sports. It has power, grace, speed and cluture. And most importantly, two fat bastards smacking the shit out of each other. ”
riggerrob 643 #3 March 3, 2004 First of all, this is the first time I have ever heard of someone waxing their leg straps to reduce slippage. A better short term solution is wrapping the black elastic strap keepers around the buckles. A second solution is asking your rigger to to sew another layer of webbing (say Type 12) on your leg straps to thicken them up. The best - long term - solution is shipping the rig to Rigging Innovations. Since your Voodoo is less than a year old, they will cheerfully replace the leg straps or hardware under warranty. DShiznit 0 #4 March 3, 2004 I've got the same problem with my Javelin, enough so that it causes a consistant right turn when flying with no brakes if I don't "favor" the left side.. I didn't put anything on it, as I don't want to contaminate it, I was just going to replace the buckle.
