ifics 0 #1 February 29, 2004 My Mirage likes to "flop" When I am on my back and in other positions my Mirage moves around making some things a bit more difficult. I know that the new Mirage has a strap on the bottom of the container to fix this problem but that doesn't help me. Has anyone fixed this problem? Can I send it into Mirage and have them add the G4 strap to it?

Jumpmunki 0 #3 February 29, 2004 can you be more specific? your description of whats happening is a bit vague
 darkwing 5 #4 February 29, 2004 It sounds like maybe your rig isn't snug against your back. But, as above, I'm a bit unsure on the symptoms you are trying to describe. Perhaps the harness is too big for you. Depending on the details there may be an easy fix, or a hard one. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
 ifics 0 #5 March 1, 2004 Where the bottom end of the rig meets you're lower back. That part of my rig will shift back and forth during certain moves in the sky. It "flops" around, its more annoying then anything else.. I am sure I will get used to it, I was trying to see if anyone else has this problem. I guess its hard to explain without pics
 Tonto 1 #6 March 1, 2004 Sounds like the harness is too big. I assume all rigs have the lower end of the container connectd to the lower part of the main lift web. This connection can be of different legths. Or the main lift web could e to long leaving to much slack in the connection pt. Get measred for the rig again and have the manufactor check the size of your harness in their data base. The problem you describe can be corrected. The only question is by who and the cost. Custom rig and your measurements were correct and Mirage made the harness to big IMO they should resize the harness at no charge. Used rig, a master rigger with a Big Machine or mirage can fix the problem. Want a G4 strap no problem Mirage will add it R.I.P. R.I.P. That nifty strap that's used on the newer model doesn't account for the trouble you're having. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry...
