AIRTIGHT 0 #1 February 29, 2004 Hello, I have 9 jumps starting this spring and am looking to get into my own rig asap. I am 6'1" and 170-175lbs. i have been jumping a student rig with a 230 main. Can anyone help me with ideas for what is right and best i want a container that will last and a main i can jump for at least 100-200 times before i need or want to downsize. Was looking at the 2stage chutes is that a bad idea for a newb? NO real budget either No price tag on saftey
nightjumps 1 #2 February 29, 2004 You absolutely must address this with your Instructors.

skybytch 273 #4 February 29, 2004 What they said. Talk to your instructors about canopy sizing and type before you buy anything. You may find this helpful too.
aneblett 0 #5 February 29, 2004 I agree with what the folks above are saying as well... also try to keep your DZ profile up to date as well! It sometimes helps people that are answering your questions understand better who they are talking to, and helps rule out trolls AdrianS.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it. jumpy 0 #6 March 1, 2004 What everyone else said above.. But also while your still finding out what your instrcutors would be comfortable having you jump you could in the mean time purhaps look into the service of container companies for example and peoples opinions of them so that when it comes time you can make a more educated purchase.
