Mixing Risers and Spectre questions

2 Questions (for the moment)

I'm going to be demoing a Spectre 170 while my Omega 180 is out being relined. I just recieved the Spectre today and noticed that the risers they shipped are mini. I jump a Vector 3 with the regular rings and an RSL. Are there any issues I need to be concerned with in using the mini's on my rig or should I just put the Spectre on my risers? I'd prefer to leave it as is (on the mini's) unless it's unsafe (aside from the mechanical advantage of regular over mini rings)


Any concerns over the RSL?
On to the canopy questions:
, any opinions on flare technique for the Spectre? Before I got my Omega,which I have about 170 jumps on, I used to rent mostly Omega's and Saphire's and that was a while ago.
Anybody jump both and want to outline the differences?

As a side note, the Omega is an older model that's subject to the different sizing so in reality, the Omega is a tad bit smaller.

I have used mini risers on large rings for many years with no problems.

If you are used to the omega i would not change much. play around up top and you should get comfortable pretty quick assuming there is no huge size difference. don't worry about the minis, they work fine (just don't go the oher way)

If you're jumping at Byron this weekend, come on up, and we can go over flight charactaristics and some drills to try so you can wring that demo out!
