kaerock 1 #1 February 24, 2004 I'm just wondering if there is a general consensus on preference for Super Tack or Lite Super Tack. The applications I need are general tacking: riser housings, cable housings, etc, etc. -R You be the king and I'll overthrow your government. --KRS-ONE
mjosparky 4 #2 February 24, 2004 I prefer regular flat tack, or lite tack. It is 50 lbs. and super tack is 80 lbs. The regular is easier to work with and provides more than enough strength. SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

riggerrob 643 #4 February 26, 2004 I have light-weight, medium-weight and heavy-weight Super-Tack in my loft. The light-weight is kind of flimsy, so I only use it in awkward corners, like the Slimline buckles on Strong tandem rigs. Medium-weight gets used on everything else. Heavy-weight is too fat to gracefully sew with, so I rarely use it except for tying down bumpers on connector links. I recently ordered a couple more spools of medium-weight Super-Tack. ernokaikkonen 0 #5 February 27, 2004 Where do you get the medium Super-tack? Paragear only lists the light(50lbs) and the heavy(80-90lbs)?
riggerrob 643 #6 February 27, 2004 To clarify, what I referred to as "medium weight" is probably the 50 pound Super Tack sold by Para-Gear. I cannot remember where I got my roll of light weight, 30 pound Super Tack - it has been so long. Maybe you could ask Al MacDonald at Flying High where he gets his.
