darrenspooner 0 #1 February 24, 2004 I'm in the UK and now ready for a new rig. Current UK-USA exchage rates make it a great time. I want a Paratec Next container, Faqtor 150 main and Speed 150 reserve, in custom colours and with a few extras. Any USA distributers like to give me a quote to ship or carry to UK? Or can anyone give me a link to USA distributers of Paratec? Many thanks Darren darren@stgilesclinic.co.uk
BPO 0 #2 February 24, 2004 Since all your gear is German-made, why don't you try a German dealer as well? Will most probably be much cheaper.
darrenspooner 0 #3 February 24, 2004 Intuitively I would expect that to be the case too, but the pound is very strong against the dollar and weak against the euro at the moment, so the exchange rate is far more favourable to buy in the states. I checked out european prices and it will cost considerably more to buy in europe. But thanks anyway.
mr2mk1g 10 #4 February 24, 2004 Yeah, we have such a sweet deal going at the moment. Everything we buy from the states is effectivly half price at the mo. (virtually).
PhreeZone 20 #5 February 24, 2004 I'm not aware of any US distributers fot that equipment. None of the major stores list it as something they sell. There might be a little shop that can get it, but none of the larger ones sell them.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

deaffreeflyer 0 #9 February 24, 2004 Very TRUE! I ordered a PD126R for only £650 and a fully loaded Micron (with skyhook) for only £1150 (ext VAT)!

Which is why you wwill probably not find a lot of US dealers willing to lose on the deal by buying products from overseas at a higher cost, vs. products manufactured in the states.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.
