New to the board, looking for some locals

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Though I am new to these boards, (well sorta, I have been shadowing them for over two years) I am not new to jumping. (Well at least not skydiving)
I have been skydiving for 6 years, I have over 3300 jumps. I have been looking into BASE for 2 years, have done much study on the ethics of BASE, and have dedicated my last 500 or so (non working) jumps to canopy control. I was going to make my first jump at Bridge Day this year, but plans fell through. So I am now looking at jumping into BASE (pun intented) on a more personal local level. I have tried the local manufacturers, but it seems their plate is pretty full.
I am looking for locals, someone to hang out with, get tips from and in turn help out any way I can. Perhaps after several outings, (and many cases of beer) I can find someone in the group I really click with, and can mentor me.
I am not a showboat or a gloryhound, and have several skills and contacts that could prove to be useful in gaining access to certain objects.
I have a rig, Hummit with a Mojo 240. Though I am not ready to jump it, it was a good deal, and I couldnt pass it up. I have made a dozen or so jumps on the canopy, and it seems to fly very differently from my other canopies. (I know...I know...It aint your daddys Xfire!) So if you are around the central FL area, and would like to hang out, Drop me a line, or post up.

BTW...Thanks for all of the education you have given me thus far, through the use of the BASE Zone. The info I have learned has been priceless.

Danny
Life is much like a packed rig, You get out of it, what you put into it.
