DShiznit 0 #1 February 16, 2004 I'm looking at getting a used Safire that possibly needs a new line set. If I were to tackle this project myself (which I'm pretty sure I can do, seen it done before), where would I find a Vectran line set for a Safire 189, and how much would I look at spending? I saw that several companies charge $150+ just for labor, that's quite a few jumps. Any ideas?

PhreeZone 20 #3 February 16, 2004 The factory charges about $225 for a reline. Unless you have a bartack sewing machine its not worth trying to do it your self IMHO.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Man, talking about doing it by your self, I'm thinking on doing somethig like that , My friend in Bolivia needs a new set of lines for a Blue Track (Parachute de France) I plan on building the lines here leaving the side that will be attached to the canopy open then I'll just do a stichless finger trap as explained here and that's it!....wait...hell no, is not gonna work, I just realized that as I was writing this post!!! ok..I take a front line cascading to the A and B lines...It'll work only for the A lines and what about the B lines!....sorry for not erasing this post as I answered my own problem... Does anybody have any ideas? Now Waiiiit a minute....A car upholstery shop back home might have a bar tacking machine hmmm by the way I made my first rapelling harness at one of these shops when I was 17 Years Old, made out of seat belts...they do have powerful machines....
