JaapSuter 0 #4 July 18, 2005 Berkana.com is down for me as well. What is it, should I have known what it is already, and how is it BASE related? Edited to add a smiley; so as to point out that no harm was intended with this post, just trying to satisfy a curiousity. Cornishe and I go way back and we still cuddle every time we see each other. TomAiello 26 #5 July 18, 2005 QuoteBerkana.com is down for me as well. What is it, should I have known what it is already, and how is it BASE related? I can't believe you hadn't found that ages ago. It's a tower locator. Cornishe, the FAA (maybe the FCC?) maintains a similar database. I've got the link somewhere here. Let me see if I can dig it up.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

JaapSuter 0 #7 July 18, 2005 QuoteI can't believe you hadn't found that ages ago. My only interest is in Canada, since the US state right below me is already well represented in the BASE jumper community. I got the complete Canadian tower database a long time ago, but because I live in the mountains, there's very little need for high towers here. The only interesting antenna here is a 220 foot tower. Interestingly enough, even on the flat Canadian prairies we don't seem to have the high 2000 feet antennas that some of the southern US states have.
