Just inspected a...

Recommended Posts

A friend's Stiletto 120 that had no patches, tears, or other problems to speak of... So i inspect it and it has the following:

-spots on the seams that are very porous f111. The fabric surrounding is zero p but its like something ate the silicon off it. The fabric passed the thumb test though so there is strength there.
-4 patches all across seams (very good work though)
-very severe cross port fraying.
-A tear in the top skin less than 1" from the tail seam.

On a side note: how can you correct crossport fraying and what would you do about the porous spots?

I think he should get some money back at least. What would you do?

Thanks ;)

Sounds like normal wear and tear on older ZP fabric. Chances are the canopy has far more than 500 jumps, or it has been jumped in an abrasive environment like the desert or sea shore.
