SkyAnt 0 #1 May 16, 2005 If my Rig takes a 210 ZP.... How much larger can i go in a 7 Cell F111 canopy? "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
hookitt 1 #2 May 16, 2005 At first I wrote, what size is your Dolpin? Then I figured the witty folks that post to this forum would find something clever to say about it. So, here goes, Your profile shows that your skydiving container is made by Altico ... ah screw it... What size is your Dolphin? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... hookitt 1 #3 May 16, 2005 The Dolphin manual is pretty lame and the size chart is no exception. Chances are you can easily put one size larger than listed in the chart. Container--Reserve--Main D-1 130 150 D-2 150 170 D-3 170 190 D-4 200 220 D-5 220 250 D-6 240 280 D-7 280 320My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... TomAiello 26 #4 May 16, 2005 By removing the bag, I was able to freepack a 290 into an accuracy rig originally intended for a 252.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
SullyFlyer 0 #5 May 16, 2005 I have a dolphin that I used a Sabre 210 in when I started skydiving. I attach the skydiving bag and pilot chute and jump my 260 Black Jack and my 260 Ace. Haven't tried anything else. I also crambed my Black Jack 260 into the bag for my Wings that holds a 190, but I got some hisitation on that one, so I don't recommend it. Very tight, probably unsafe. Remeber to have a rigger look at it if you have any doubt. If your closing loop is too long, you may lock your container. Hope this helps. PS. Fun experiment for those experienced in the ways of the wing: BASE canopy, mesh slider, 40 second delay from 5K with wing suit. Still opening at a safe 2200ft. Be careful with this one. S&TA's tend to get on your case about pulling low. ~ Fear is the thief of dreams...
cwn 0 #6 May 16, 2005 I used a Dolphin D-4 to practice accuracy with a Mojo280 and a BlackJack 280. I packed them using the tail pocket instead of a D-Bag. It was a very tight fit and I had to lengthen the closing loop but it worked for 80+ jumps until I bought a Dolphin D-6. The Dolphin D-6 works well for both BJ280s and BJ310s.
