LouDiamond 1 #1 May 5, 2005 Well if you're willing to hop on a plane to Afghanistan there are several great launch points on a series of faces that can be hucked. Of the 2 I huck, I mean landed on for a recon, the lowest one was just under 2000 feet from launch point to landing area. The highest was 2630 feet from launch to landing area. There are many more launch points that I was unable to check out and at least 2 whole wall systems that I spotted but didn't get a chance to look at closely, but I think are all do-able. eb66to77 0 #2 May 5, 2005 What would be cooler is if you had a team that overlooked the fact that you were taking the already hazardous situation and making it worse for yourself and everyone. Then have them pull security while you found your way back up to the drop off point or wait until you get to the top to jump it. Ah, wouldn't life be great. I had my rig with me. Team didn't mesh with the idea though. I mostly got blank stares.

Doogie320 0 #13 May 6, 2005 Lou, I'm down at Cunningham at BAF. I think I flew through those canyons two weeks ago coming back from Salerno. If we have two different locations in mind, there's some awesome terrain out there as you are aware. My condolences on losing SFC Munoz and SFC Johnson. Take care and be safe,
LouDiamond 1 #14 May 6, 2005 Those walls are not as far up as Salerno but I'm sure you have some nice ones up that way as well Thanks, We had a memorial here on wed. for SFC Johnson."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
