LouDiamond 1 #2 March 16, 2005 Not much to jump there but San jose does have a few nice big hotels downtown. The holiday inn is situated in a rotary circle on a slow street with a grass park bench middle that you could land in. Approx 50m diameter and no outs other than a 90 left/right onto the street. The other big hotel is situated on a busy street but it has a HUGE park across from it with trees. The street is the only other option and it's usually pretty busy even at night. There is a small group of people who rent an airplane and skydive every once in awhile but that was awhile back, not sure if they do it any more. CR has a lot of other things to do that more than make up for the lack of objects to huck. Pura Vida!"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
vid666 0 #3 April 4, 2005 bump... leaving on the 6th - according to my research taking a rig would be near useless. Anybody care to change my mind ? tnx !
sum1sneaky 0 #4 April 5, 2005 It's not near useless - but it's not too friendly either. I've been around much of the country and found several possible objects but most are pretty challenging and remote. What I found was the buildings in SJ (anyone know what a bust means here?), a really-low-but-doable-for-some stack near Tilaran, a couple of low waterfalls with super sketch landings, and one low cliff with no landings at all... Take your surf board instead of your rig and be sure to spend some time in the jungle!
