I wouldn't post this if there was a base community by me but theres not so thanks if you can help. I would say that you need to find some locals in your area for advice! If you cant find any maybe Tom might be able to help you out at his first jump course! Forget the tour-of-duty, ground-crewing or even getting to know other BASErs. You are so above all that - oh my God I wish I were you. Sorry dude but you need to follow protocol & buy BASE specific gear , humble yourself and give yourself over to the advice that's available or go back to jumpn airplanes.
