Has it had a reline?

Recommended Posts

I'm selling a Sabre 1 and I'd like to be able to say if it has ever had a reline. I can only trace back 200 jumps on it and I know its had arround 600 before that. I read the other day that there is a way you can check on the PD website if its ever had a reline.... I can't find where [:/]

Was I reading rubbish? Should I just e-mail them the serial # and will PD be able to tell me?

The quickest way to measure life of a line kit is tying the risers together and measuring difference across the A-lines. New Sabre Mark I lines have zero difference across the A-lines. When the lines have shrunk so badly that there is a 3 inch difference across the A-lines, they are due for replacement.

Measuring line wear on tapered canopies is far more complex, requiring a manufacturer's line trim chart and a rigger who knows how to read it, because every manufturer uses a different method to measure lines.
Argh!
