diablopilot 2 #2 January 28, 2004 Quote1.) Does canopy COLOR has an influence on canopy pack volume? Not by any noticable amount. Quote2.) Are all fabrics white when they are first manufactured (their generic color), and then dyed? AFAIK the THREAD that material is woven from is dyed prior to the weaving of the fabric. Quote3.) Do different colors (bluem red, orange, etc.) influence pack volume to different degrees? See #1.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Makes sense that a canopy that was not dyed would pack up smaller than one that was. I do remember that the rigger I started my training with way back when told me he noticed white canopies pack up a little smaller than dyed ones.Miami
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
