When I first thumbed through skydive Mag. and saw the Add. My first thought, " It was a Hoax". that is WAY to easy. Have any of you considered the possibility that the. Advertisement in, Skydive Magazine is probably one of the best Designed,well executed Jokes, I have seen lately. It is Brilliant. To sucker you people, in. Knowing you could not help yourselves. The Advertisement was purposely laid out. Look at the Add. Look at the Statement and the Wording of the Add. He may actually get a few people to show the fundimentals of BASE to, but the.... Press, Talk, Hype, and the Word of Mouth Advertisement and Exposure is just.......PRICELESS ! The Add., is a Play that was spoon Feed to You. It was Very predictable, You would just eat it up. You people do all the work for them. You give the desired response they hoped for. The Maximum Exposure, for the, Minimum amount of work / is fucking Brilliant Hell they could even turn in the receipt for the Add. for, Re-imbursement, to Red Bull.. "Miles D's BASE Camp." may actually get a Few Students. THAT IS NOT THE BIG PICTURE... It's Not about, " GOOD or BAD " (think about it) and repeat after me...Not about, " GOOD or BAD " " VISIBILITY " (think about it) and repeat after me.......Visibility It's about, ...Visibility Never out of the,.... Public Eye. how much is this visibility worth ???....Like I said,.... Treejumps 0 #5 December 4, 2004 Ray, You have shown me the light. I will not give any more attention to glory hounds. Real jumpers, the ones I would like to get to know and share an exit point with, they are never heard from. They are just out there doing their thing, having fun, making jumps. All these publicity hounds would sell their mothers for a little bit a fame and attention. Oh yeah, lets drag some whuffos into base so more people will know how cool we are. BASE is tiny, maybe a thousand world wide, and thats how it surrvives. If it could ever become a well known widely practiced sport, it would be the death of it. All hail the killers of base. Later.
