leroydb 0 #1 September 1, 2004 How would the placement of the tailpocket (bottom of conatainer vs mid) affect the opening of the parachute? What are your theories on this subject?Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio...
TomAiello 26 #2 September 1, 2004 It's going to be _very_ particular to your combination of container/canopy/pack job. I've seen people put the tail pocket as low as the bottom of the container, and as high as the warning label at the top.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
RayLosli 11 #3 September 1, 2004 It is kind of what Tom is saying, Everybody is doing some of everything. Harness container Systems are still playing a game of Catch-Up, to Wing Suit, BASE. You either have the traditional square tray, box bottom or the new Bi-Fold, corners that open up to a flat open mat. If you think your Tail Pocket might snag the bottom of your tray on deployment. Move it higher up in the tray. I think some day a Wing Suit is going to be a, Hybrid. Wing Suit and container as one. (we will see).
