atsaubrey 0 #1 January 19, 2004 Any idea what a vector rig mfg in '94 with a PD340 9 cell F111 main and 335 reserve with about 500 jumps might be worth? Not sure about the 335 reserve but that is what it has in it. The cypress has about 2 years left with new batteries and fresh check up. The rig is in excellent condition and i had no idea the main had that many jumps on it. It looks damn near new. I have the oppotunity to buy it but kinda interested what the value is, dont know if this will make a difference or not but it was custom built and is basically a modified tandem rig."GOT LEAD?" PhreeZone 20 #2 January 19, 2004 If it was made in 94 it's not a Vector3, but a Vector2. There is a difference in the designs, the 2 has more velcro, and a flip down main flap coverage verus the tounge type on the Vector3. Depending on the condition of the rig you are looking at 400-600 for the container. ~200-400 for the main depending on line wear and poresity. Figure 6-700 for the reserve if it has'nt been used (-25 to 50 per ride on it if its used) and the Cypres is about $150. $1400 would be fair, 1100 is a good price, 1800+ is on the steep side. Granted the odds of finding another rig like this to fit you is going to probally be slim so you might have to pay more just since the rigs are rare. Edit: Revised prices after looking at used rig prices again for that size rig.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

It says here that Vector 3 was introduced in 1994, check page 8: http://relativeworkshop.com/pdf_files/09354.pdf
 Hooknswoop 19 #4 January 19, 2004 After 500 jumps, the main is probably wore-out. F-111 just doesn't hold up well. I would find out exactly what the reserve is and if it has any AD's/SB's on it before deciding what it is worth. Derek
 PhreeZone 20 #5 January 19, 2004 The mention of it being a modified tandem rig is what makes it a Vector2 for sure. The tandem rigs were still made after the Vector2 design until the Sigma design was released in the late 90's. Converting a Vector2 tandem rig for freefall is'nt really that hard so if this option does not work out you might want to look at older tandem rigs as an option and have your rigger convert it.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
 atsaubrey 0 #6 January 19, 2004 I am almost positvie it is a V3. They used the plans from the tandem and made a scaled down version is what i was told."GOT LEAD?" Try looking at the Rws website www.Relativeworkshop.com Also an easy way to determine if it is a Vector3 or a 2 is there any velcro on it, how about the pin protection flap does it open up or down, if it opens up its a 2. And another good way to tell is the bridle, if its covered by the container then it should be a 3. Easiest way I can think of is look at the packing data card, that will tell you the rig model and Sn# it will also tell you what kind of reserve you have. Good luck. I have jumped Vector One Tandem (pre-drogue) and Vector Two Tandem, but they never built any Vector Three Tandems. By that time, they started calling them Sigma Tandems.
