JesseP 0 #26 August 4, 2004 I know tailgate lineovers have been discussed, but you'll have to find the posts on your own.*** Maybe my search skills are bad, but I still cannot find anything on this forum about it, and I have tried. It seems to me that if there have been several incidents where a slider down lineover has occurred when a tailgate was used correctly, it should be easy to find, or find people who know about it. If anyone else knows of a specific incident where someone had a slider down lineover while using a tailgate and cleared it with the line mod and landed successfully I am interested to hear about it. 460 0 #29 August 4, 2004 This sounds dangerous. Your toggles should not release just from tensioning the brake line in a similar way that a line over would. You should consider investigating this more to see if either your toggle system is inferior or if you are simply stowing them incorrectly. At the other end of the issue, years ago, inferior toggle systems were used and toggle jams occured occasionally and could become a very serious issue while under canopy.Looks like a death sandwich without the bread - Steve Deadman Morrell, BASE
hookitt 1 #30 August 4, 2004 We worked it out. The toggle system is fine. There was a misunderstanding on how they were supposed to be set and it's been corrected.
