Faber 0 #1 July 30, 2004 yesterday i made 2 jumps(look at the thanks tread),at jump # 1 i reach for my risers werry quick which results in a riser hit on my right arm(look at pic),now that is a bruise right.. well i also thourght that and climbed again to do another jump(which i did). Then yester day nite the arm gets bigger and bigger..hmm i can still move evrything and dont belive that anything is broken. Then this werry morning i deside to get a chek at my doc as its still has strange feeling to my tomb As expected the arm aint broken, but that blue spark sits at a really bad place on a vene that supports my fingers whith blood.Ive got the weekend over to see if it will calm down,if not he will cut it open to get rid of the pressure, then give me plaster on for a hole week... never heard that a blue mark could do so much Not im forced to sit still here whith a raised arm(as i really want to avoid the plaster thing..)drinking a beer in a weather that would be perfect to jumping Lesson... dont be to fast on your risers even if you think your about to get an offheading(joke) Damn how unlucky can you be.. EDIT to add pics Stay safe Stefan Faber

FrogNog 1 #5 July 30, 2004 QuoteDamn how unlucky can you be.. Worst case so far would be that you get the knife, some stitches, and a cast for a week. It is unfortunate you didn't escape injury, like we want to with every jump, but on the lighter side this isn't super bad luck, all things considered, right? -=-=-=-=- Pull. Zennie 0 #7 July 30, 2004 Quotewerry = very chek = check tomb = thumb blue spark = bruise vene = vein What's great about Faber's writing is he writes exactly the way I would expect him to talk. Writing with an accent, so to speak. Nasty bruise Faber. Hope you heal up quick. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
Faber 0 #8 July 31, 2004 cheers mate, sadly at this point its still the same which means that i tomo has to deside if the doc need to release the presure(on my arm)or if its ok.IF he has to to it ill be off work 1-2 weeks which means that i doubt that i have a jobThey were already largede by my leg... However no job means more time to playbut in the end its nice to have a job that can support our hobbyes by hard earned mony Will post monday if he need to cut open(ofcourse i will video it)so people can see why they not should reach TOO fast after the risers Still a mystery to me that a bruise like that can do so much harmi mean i got bruises like that all life and never needed any medical care for that before now, well one time but that were BLUE balls after a bad exit out off an LET410,but only to check if i would survive(got 2 kids after that one. anyway the doc said that im grounded for at least 1 week(more if i need plaster on)and now the good weather just showed up... Zennie 0 #10 August 2, 2004 Quotei wont need to be cutted in and wont need plaster Yay! If you were bruising that badly, I'm wondering if you hit your brachial artery rather than a vein. Arteries bleed like a mofo. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
Faber 0 #11 August 2, 2004 right now i have a bruse whith a dia at 10cm/4inch(?)plus the extra.. My doc says that this is 1 of the 2 things the bruise could do,the other thing were to stay at the place it were(egg shaped)and causing problems to my fingers. So it looks like my body just found out the best thing..If your really interested in this, ill ask my Doc. To me its a bruise i never imagined could cause all that,im just happy that it went out the easy way,and that i will be jumping my ass off this weekend(to come) Stay safe Stefan Faber

OK Zennie, What the fuck is a largede and what is it doing by his leg? Faber, you must have a copy of Feral's English dictionary. The worrying thing is that as I read this, most of it makes perfect sense. You usually get a smelly infection from a bad exit rather than blue balls, by the way.$kin.
