Congrats!

Welcome to the family! B|

Methinks there's gonna be a mad dash for sub-1000 BASE numbers here soon.

I want one. I want one. But me thinks me has me work cut out for me before me gets one (how do you like my grammar?).

When I started jumping, my goal was to get a number under 1000.

I think the big question here is:

Who gets BASE #1000 ?

Feet up!

The last big question was who would get 666. Rick and Joy kept things pretty under cover until after the number was awarded. I'd imagine they'll do the same this time around.

i wanted one, but the stupid low turn i made skydiving will keep that from happening, even if i do get a canopy to fill my container while i heal up... [:/]

honestly though it's just a number, i really dont care what it is so much as enjoying the experience of earning it...

Well, as it gets close I can huck you off our local "B". We do have a couple "S"s to choose from and we can get yer "E" out west.

It's all a matter of how stupid we're willing to be. ;)

to me it were 850,i first realised as i completed the word and found out how close the # were to 850.I couldnt belive it as i got the #.

After a while i realiced that it sure is funny to get your #,but what does it prove?

I mean the guy that used 3-4 years to get knowlegede and alot of experience do own more respect than the guy(like me)who gets the #at low jump #s not so current,i know who i give most respect(the experienced one).

Dont misunderstand me on this, but in the start i looked at the #s to find out who were experienced and so on,but figured out that you really cant..becours of this kind of rush thing..

924 didnt rush that hard through.. he could have had it before he got it if he liked..but he desided himself which object to complete at:)

Congrats #924!!

It would be cool for a Brit to have 999 as this is our emergency services number.............

Congrats to 924..................

Most of us will never be ground breaking or inventive - so the number is a nice way to be attached to the history of the sport........... no one can take that from you.

Raise a cold one for the ones before and the ones to follow...............

I was hoping for 911, and missed it by five slots. We filled 916-918 on Memorial Day and we just new one of us would be lucky anough to get it...

Extrapolating the recent trend by eye I reckon 1000 will be achieved somewhere towards the end of the first trimester in 2005. I should really get Skin to work his magic on an uptodate prediction

Skin now predicts number 1000 will be achieved on September the 29th of this year, but then he was 3 months late with his prediction for number 900! (Although we have more data now ;-P)

I wasn't late. It was those pesky newbies chomping at the bit.

The earlier prediction used data from BASE 1 onwards. The latest shot only uses the availble data from BASE 600 onwards. The numbers are not seasonally adjusted. Perhaps summer winds on those thermally fickle buildings will slow down the proceedings. Then again, perhaps not. The bottom line is that beginning next month there will be a shit load of ASErs scoping buildings all over the place. Fortunately the law enforcement community will be busy saving lives and catching serious criminals rather than sitting across the street from the high-rises, slurping coffee and gorging on Krispy Kremes...Not!:P
