laird 0 #1 July 11, 2004 Heading up to Idaho this Wednesday the 14th for about a week or so. I'll be driving from around fresno ca up the 99 and so forth, anyone along the way is welcome to come along. I've read the article on blinc in the knowledge BASE travel section on the perrine, curious if theres anything else I should know. I haven't jumped there before, so any advice on what to do or what not to do would be nice (besides the obvious 1. no jumping from the top of the rail, or 2. jumping with skis on, or 3. jumping from the top of the rail with skis on). Has anyone used the guide service, and if so was it worth it? Is it still common practice to call the sheriff? Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Jason
DexterBase 1 #2 July 11, 2004 Don't drink at the visitor center. Don't jump from the rail. Don't shoot the steel. Don't forget to call the sheriff. Don't die. Do be nice to the spectators. Do answer questions they have, politely. Do tell them where there's a good spot to watch you jump. They often stand on the wrong side. Do have a good time jumping a great object. Do contact Tom Aiello for more information.

RayLosli 11 #4 July 11, 2004 Could be that Chili's is not BASE friendly is because....... I was in there once and the Waitress Came over to our table. Then asked if we were BASE jumpers. I said.. Yea. She said.. You made my friend (another waitress) CRY. the other day. I said sorry, but it was not us. "Now give me a Margarita, on the rocks."

Treejumps 0 #6 July 11, 2004 A few years ago CHilis was the place to go. Very friendly and they let us put video up on the TV. They were big supporters and we went back nearly every night. Sorry to hear its changed. Maybe just one person messed it up, but I think its probably still base friendly. Cya. They manager basically told megan.(that nice base groupie that gives everyone rides to the top.) to screw off, when she asked for coupons for the memorial boogie raffle that don held. The manager did the same thing to johnny utah. Not to mention that the outback offers base jumpers happy hour specials at anytime. not just happy hour. The mexican place there is pretty awesome also. I think every tuesday is buy one get one free margarita night and they let you play base videos theie also. But you will have a great time out there for sure.
