Rauk 0 #1 July 9, 2004 I recently did my first slider up jump, my previous 95 were slider down, so I haven't had any experience flying my BASE canopy through the rings. I had a HORRIBLY hard landing after what was supposed to be a flat turn. Has anyone noticed a HUGE difference in flight characteristics when going to slider up jumping? Soft landings Rex

I usually jump slider-off in Moab and was stalling on deep-brake approaches during the Royal Gorge Games
base283 0 #3 July 9, 2004 Check your toggle positions. Normally there´s about a 6 inch diff between optimum slider off and slider up togg positions. It sounds like you were flying in a braked mode and didn´t have enough speed to flare optimumly. take care, space
