Wonder if they hit a snag....at Rantoul they mentioned they were just finishing up the 135 and almost done with the 150. I don't mind they are taking their time, but wonder if this means the 135 and 150 will fly differntly than the smaller sizes. Much like the Stiletto - the 170 and 190 do not fly like a 150 (don't know about anything smaller than that)._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... diablopilot 2 #8 January 14, 2004 QuoteI don't mind they are taking their time, but wonder if this means the 135 and 150 will fly differntly than the smaller sizes. Probably not. PD take extra time designing each size to fly like the rest of the series. I suspect it's one of the reasons you won't find PD building "any size" canopy. They have the technology to do it. Each size canopy is a little different (not just scaled geometrically) so as to produce the flight characteristics they want. I believe they really started playing around with this on the smaller sizes of Stiletto, and for sure on the Velocity.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Blue Skies, -jp- They have 3 different velocities for that reason. They apparently didnt scale well. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" headoverheels 334 #10 January 16, 2004 Any word from PD as to recommended canopy loading? For instance, would the recommended size be the same as a Stiletto, or smaller?
PhreeZone 20 #11 January 16, 2004 In my tour of the PD factory this week I got to see a bunch of the demo models being cut and sewn. PD is taking this release pretty seriously and from the looks of it will have more then 50 demo canopies ready at the release date. There will be a lot of very happy people out there on Feb 2 when they ship out the demos.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
