It reportedly hits you with the same force as a heavyweight boxers punch. Generally it knocks the target down and leaves heavy bruising but is no more deadly than a sucker punch. I would guess before, but if they could figure out a way to make one to catch people mid air it and stop the fall, might be good for your ground crew to have. Not for cops though cause they wouldn't know the difference between a mal and a delay.... Of course if they did make one to catch people mid air I am sure that BASE jumping would change altogether, I mean who would need a rig at all? Which make me wonder why Birdman hasn't figured out how to land the suit from BASE objects yet...
