Aprox 2 month ago i sold my old gear(Reactor containing a fox 225 multi and 5th line mod),i sold the setup as ONLY the harness as the canopy IS WORN OUT!!!,the buyer which i had confirmed were ok for this gear(she were about to buy a new fox from BR,and wouldnt jump this gear,as i told her not to),should have droped out from BASE jumping and sold the setup for skydive gear.She should be told by a rigger that the canopy is ok,as i told her IT IS NOT!!! atleast not for BASE jumping. IF you resently got a red and grey fox 225 multi 5th line mod,from Belgium,please contact me,i can confirm if its the one i am talking about. To the person who got the gear from me.CONTACT me!!!i dont have your mail any more. It sounds like you sold a clapped out BASE canopy as skydiving gear, considering it un-BASEworthy, then the purchaser re-sold it as BASE gear? Presumably the reseller represented the canopy to the new purchaser as being fine for BASE? Faber 0 #3 April 27, 2004 kind of like that yes,besides i just gave the person the canopy as it were nothing worth to BASE,and the person just wanted to fly the canopy in skydiving and told me that a new canopy were ordered at BR to fit the harness. im worryed if this gear will or is sold as airworth BASE gear as the canopy aint,the harness is in great shape. The Belgian crew is on it and trying to find out were the canopy is. i will keep people informed. thanks Tom. hopefuly this is just a bad rumor,but if not a person could get hurt. Maybe kind of like marking pack jobs on reserves, mark "NOT FOR BASE!!!" on the warning label and FOX panels...
