BASE813 0 #1 February 14, 2004 http://www.basejumper.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=402e7ad82b45ffff;act=ST;f=1;t=260 For those people that jump at Pylon Park please be aware that there is a small issue with the neighbour. I have a very good relationship with the neighbour, the farmer and the locals, I have recently spoken to the neighbour and she is concerned about the reaction of their horse to the parachuting activity from this object. After speaking to them at length about what arrangements can be made to enable us to continue to jump at this location, I have agreed with them that some forward notice and planning is required. I have the neighbours phone number and she is happy that we phone 1 or 2 days ahead to inform her that we plan to jump and in this way she is able to place the horse in the far field and she is happy with us jumping. For those people that are jumping this object, I am sure you will agree that this truely is a prime location in the UK - we dont want to be upsetting the locals as they are the people that allow us to continue jumping this site. I have told her that I would inform people (that I know that jump it) that jumping should not be commencing over the next month as she is on holiday and she has a "horse sitter" and does not want to have them worry about the horse and the reaction it has due to the parachute activity. This I hope you will agree is acceptable. I am planning to meet / speak with her over the next few days to come up with an acceptable arrangment ON HER TERMS to how and when we will be jumping........ Please if you know anyone that is jumping this site that may not read the board then please contact them and let them know the situation............. This is a priceless site and we do not want the locals to dislike what we do - as the neighbour said "I dont want you to stop jumping, We dont mind at all - but I must think about my horse..............." Please be advised that the owner will call in the authorities if we dont sort out a protocol along these lines... If you jump this object(s) then please sms me (+447969561830) and I will give you the heads up of the situation at the moment............... otherwise I will post my findings from the neighbour / locals / farmer when I speak to them all again.................. Please let us not lose this site.................. lets be careful out there............. Thanks people - lets keep Britain tidy! Michael PS) If you dont know this object dont even think about contacting me to find out where it is!!! PPS) I cant post on BLiNC - please can someone post this there........ thanks!
