wzettler 0 #1 February 7, 2004 I am still a long way away from my first BASE jump. I am still in the researching phase. (By the way, the technical documents part of the library on the CR website is awesome. Thanks to CR, very informative as to a hint of what kind of thechnical knowledge is needed.) I was just curious if there are any reviews out there on Morphesus' WSX-treme container? I'd like to read a few in my research if it's possible just to satisfy my own curiosity... Thanks... Edited because of my poor grammar. I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.

Not sure if anyone has actually bought one yet, it's that new, just test-jumped, so unlikely there are any real reviews but in case anyonemissed it Morpheus have updated their website with info about the wsX-tremeSkydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live
gus 1 #3 February 7, 2004 I had a look at one a few months back and was going to jump it but couldn't in the end - but it looked good. Packing might be a bit more tricky if you're putting the top closing loop in the base plate. To be honest though, I think there are very few people in the world who are pushing their wingsuits hard enough for a tapered container like the wsx-treme or Vertigo's Merlin to provide any real performance improvement. Just the opinions of a newbie. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
Base733 0 #4 February 7, 2004 I have a Morpheus WSX-treme container and have about 15 jumps on it, all subterminal tracking or aerial jumps. While this is not a formal review in that it would need to be written when not hung over, well articulated and come from a more knowledgeable perspective, I have really enjoyed the rig. The first thing you notice when you put it on are the integrity risers and corresponding lack of 3-rings which make it very comfortable. The rig has a great contoured fit which significantly contributes to its low profile. It is easy to pack and has the option of closing the top with the closing loop on the floor plate or on the top flap like the regular Gargoyle. I use the floor plate when I want to get a more tapered profile to max out the track (not that it helps with my poor tracking abilities) or use the top flap when jumping low urban stuff which we have a lot of where I live. I’ve had Dynamic Corners on my rig in the past and this is a mandatory feature on a wingsuit specific container. The ParaPack material really is cool. It looks sleek and noticeably helps reduce the size of the rig and drag. Cpoxon, didn’t you think it looked cool when you saw it in KL? Gus, I saw you flying a wingsuit in Z-hills and am sure you could get a benefit from it!!! Gotta get some Advil as my head is pounding from last night. Rumor has it that the WSX-treme is flying off big cliffs this weekend so maybe one of our resident expert wingsuit flyers will provide a real review. 733. I live in fear of Birdman demanding to take my suit back for crimes against skyflying Just out of interest, what canopy do you have in your wsx-treme? Rob told me the biggest you could have was a Troll 245. GusOutpatientsOnline.com
pbla4024 0 #6 February 7, 2004 I do not really understand, how floor plates works on WSX. Loop is in front of leading edge? Could you send some photos? Fido
Base733 0 #7 February 7, 2004 I have an unvented 245 Troll in my WSX-treme and believe that it is the largest size canopy that will fit. If I didn't already own a 245, I would have downsized to a 225 Troll. Regarding the floorplate mounted top closing loop; the WSX-treme is a two pin rig, the top pin (closest to the yoke) has the closing loop mounted to the base of the container much like a Javelin's closing loop.
