My sister is going to live in Bergen, Noway for the next half year. I thought, maybe I'd visit her And maybe stop by Voss, too

But, I've been wanting to go see that 'popular big wall in Southern Norway' for some time. I'm not a BASE jumper, I may have tentatively wanted to be for a while but standing on a tower cured me of that real fast. I wasn't going to jump myself, it was a demo jump for really experienced BASE jumpers only, but this was the first time I actually was up there with them, instead of watching on the ground (hey this thing has a lift!). It was a nice tower too, being fairly high (much higher then the usual electricity (power?) towers etc I'm used to seeing jumped) and fairly narrow so not much to hit, but for the almost impossible landing area. But I stood there, and thought: no f* way would I dare jump this.
Oh well, I'll stick to jumping out of airplanes thank you very much
Although it nags me if I'm afraid of something; I can't really stand being afraid! But my fear of heights definately comes into play here...

Anyhow I do want to see that 'popular big wall', and even do a FJC but probably not. But, is there something to see there? Can you just go watch?

Of course you can! Its also a popular tourist spot, so its usually a few spectators on the top when we jump. The season usually starts in june.

Even without jumping the place will just blow you away.......... its beautiful

..........but even more so whilst jumping!

Yeah, dude, there indeed is something to see. You should definately go check it out, the whole place is just amazing. If you are into hiking the views and places to just hike with your backpack are absolutely great. Or if hiking isn't your thing, take a ferry and check the whole fjord out. And as a added bonus to all these activities you might see some BASE jumping (and even try it out yourself :) and meet some BASE jumpers and just chill out, grab a few beers and have fun ! Definately the place to visit.

In Norway you dont just grab a few beers,unless you bring em your self or is werry rich its a crime that beers can be THAT expencive

I think you should go tjeck it out... Norway is one of the most beautiful places i ever have been.I have never been in Lysenboten,but in the area of Bergen and Voss are gorgeus.

Aint that the truth!!! - The first night / day we stayed in Stavanger we went out on the beers and I spent £300 (approx $500)
