First canopy

I can give you my opinion as a newbie (2 skydives and 4 slider down jumps on my 265 MDV @ ~0.65).

I was on the borderline between a 245 and a 265, went for the 265 but was a bit worried that it would be too big. But it's great! I was suprised how much forward speed it has in full drive - I'm glad I didn't get the 245. Feels very solid in deep brakes, recovery from a stall is easy and predictable. The power of the flare also suprised me (even from deep brake approaches), I've stood up all my landings easily.

I had a look at a sample of the MDVs and was very impressed - clever stuff.

My frame of reference for big F111 canopies is limited to ragged out student Mantas and Skreamer's Parafoil 252 (thanks dude ) so I don't really have anything to compare it to but so far I'm very happy with my choice.

Genneral in BASE is that bigger canopyes are better;)You will be inpressed on how fast a big canopy seems to fly under circumstanses were you want to fly slowmotion:o

To the head poster, i seems to rember that one of the moderators of this forum has made an artickle about gear, and if i rember correct he also flyes a Troll.

I posted a review of my unvented Troll in the BLiNC Reviews section.

The MDV modification has largely addressed my concerns. I definitely recommend getting the MDV if you buy a Troll.
