gus 1 #2 December 2, 2003 I can give you my opinion as a newbie (2 skydives and 4 slider down jumps on my 265 MDV @ ~0.65). I was on the borderline between a 245 and a 265, went for the 265 but was a bit worried that it would be too big. But it's great! I was suprised how much forward speed it has in full drive - I'm glad I didn't get the 245. Feels very solid in deep brakes, recovery from a stall is easy and predictable. The power of the flare also suprised me (even from deep brake approaches), I've stood up all my landings easily. I had a look at a sample of the MDVs and was very impressed - clever stuff. My frame of reference for big F111 canopies is limited to ragged out student Mantas and Skreamer's Parafoil 252 (thanks dude ) so I don't really have anything to compare it to but so far I'm very happy with my choice. Genneral in BASE is that bigger canopyes are betterYou will be inpressed on how fast a big canopy seems to fly under circumstanses were you want to fly slowmotion To the head poster, i seems to rember that one of the moderators of this forum has made an artickle about gear, and if i rember correct he also flyes a Troll. TomAiello 26 #4 December 2, 2003 I posted a review of my unvented Troll in the BLiNC Reviews section. The MDV modification has largely addressed my concerns. I definitely recommend getting the MDV if you buy a Troll.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
