Auryn 0 #1 January 6, 2004 I am looking for opinions about the hip rings on the vector 3.. are they worth the cost and extra wait time (you cant get them on a stock rig) ? I would think the rig would be comfy without them.. but, I want my next container to be extremely comfy, Im going to be in it a lot this summer. blue ones ! AggieDave 6 #2 January 6, 2004 Short answer: get them. Yes they're more comfy, they even increase the resale value.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Jimbo 0 #3 January 6, 2004 I think hip rings are worth the investment on any modern container. Chest rings, well, the jury's still out on that one. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

I think I am going to get them, I just dont want to have to wait the extra time for them.. blue ones ! D 27808
sducoach 0 #5 January 6, 2004 Short answer. Fords and Chevys. Try them first. I do not like hip rings due to the fact that they allow your leg straps to move around too much in the aircraft. You have to "reset" their location when you get up or, put a bung straps on the back. (which I always snap when I see them) Try them first. Blahr 0 #7 January 6, 2004 Cant speak for rings. Dont have them and have never tried them. I CAN tell you that my new Vector 3 M is the most comfy rig I've ever worn. I've had a couple fairly long canopy rides and never once felt uncomfortable. It may well be even more comfy with them, but I have not found myself at any time wishing I had ordered it with hip rings. I'm not missing them. If you have the money and think its worth it, then go for it. But dont let anyone tell you that you NEED them or you wont be comfy.
Clownburner 0 #8 January 6, 2004 If you have a dealer nearby, see if they've got some you can try; it's very much a preference thing. I got them on my V3m and I like 'em. I find the Vector very comfortable in the air; once in a while on the ground it's a little awkward, but mine is huge and I've lost weight since I ordered it, so it doesn't fit as well as it used to. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
