unclecharlie109 0 #1 October 31, 2003 Not trying to stir the pot - okay well maybe a little ;) This place just ain't the same without JJ! I have been surprised by the thread locking, censorship and "bans" issued by "dz.com". (e.g. Felix post) Can someone explain why this stance has been chosen? (Tom, Sangiro?) Maybe I already know the answer but I still think it is worth discussing "open forum". bsbd jb
TomAiello 26 #2 October 31, 2003 The Felix thread was locked by Hooknswoop for personal attacks (mostly Space v. 689). Sangiro banned JJ for personal attacks (mostly on Ddog). Personal attacks have always been against the rules here. It should come as no surprise that Personal Attacks result in locked threads and user bans.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

narcimund 0 #4 October 31, 2003 QuoteThis place just ain't the same Oh, I don't know. We still have anonymous posters trying to push people's emotional buttons. It seems very much the same to me. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Dd0g 0 #6 November 1, 2003 Perhaps Sangiro has some wisdom in his decision, and getting this forum back to discussions about BASE is a good idea. Those of us who are struggling with much more intense emotional issues are best served by relying on friends and those who are actually involved when working through issues. Fortunately, there are few people who understand what it is like to go through something like this firsthand - I hope that doesn't change, ever. Peace, D-d0g+~+~+~+~ But this, surely, was the glory that no spirits, canine or human, had ever clearly seen, the light that never was on land or sea, and yet is glimpsed by the quickened mind everywhere. I still get offended at the notion of JJ showing the films he has collected in his years. I simply cannot handle what should be called "The reality clips". I wish to censor him and make my dream world more pleasant and palatable (sp?). Yes, the personal attacks were there, but as is life, things happen. JJ, I welcome your return. You don't speak much, but when you do it is of substance. Try the BASE board JJ. Peace, Thomas
