Kris 0 #2 January 5, 2004 I've been running the 1.21 code on mine since it came out and I've been nothing but happy with my neptune over the last few months.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
mjosparky 4 #3 January 5, 2004 Kris, I am not sure what the 1.21 code is. Please explain. SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
indyz 1 #4 January 5, 2004 Quote I am not sure what the 1.21 code is. Please explain. It's the latest version of the software that runs on the Neptune. It fixed a bunch of stability problems. Alti 2 is claiming that version 2.0 will be out in the next 10 days. Edit to add: I would have no problem recommending a Neptune to somebody who planned on using it primarily as a visual altimeter. I've never used mine as an audible, so I don't really have an opinion on that.

rigging65 0 #6 January 5, 2004 We had two of them (from the same batch) have their cases come apart on our customers (actually, the same customer, on two idfferent units). Evidently, it had something to do with the glue they were using or something. Alti-2 graciously took the units back and replaced them. Other than that, they've been jems!...although they haven't sold as well as I thought they would have, thus far. KrisFlyZ 0 #7 January 5, 2004 They say the 2.0 software will allow downloads of the log data. Paralog is claiming that their software will work with the Neptune before alti-2 is ready to launch 2.0. This is a good thing for us Neptune Owners. How much does the Paralog Software cost?
bmcd308 0 #8 January 5, 2004 Mine has 1.21 and the clock does not work. It keeps track of the date fine, but it does not display the correct time (an odd problem, since I would think that it would mess up the date if it did not know what time it was). ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com
KrisFlyZ 0 #9 January 5, 2004 QuoteMine has 1.21 and the clock does not work. It keeps track of the date fine, but it does not display the correct time (an odd problem, since I would think that it would mess up the date if it did not know what time it was). I have not played around with the Neptune since my injury but I believe that the time can be set. Also Go to Alti-2 website, they mention a bug in the year part of their code. And a suggested corrective measure until 2.0 is released.
