Hazarrd 1 #1 January 3, 2004 Some jackass spilled coffee on a table that my rig was sitting next to. It spilled onto my rig. It was waiting to be taken upstairs for a reserve repack so I'm not too worried about that. It also didnt get near the Cypres. It looked like it had creamer in it, and maybe sugar. Anything I should be worried about? I was in a bit of a hurry when it happened so I just wiped as much off as I could and dropped in off at the rigger and told him what happened. Thanks. .-. hookitt 1 #2 January 3, 2004 Unless the coffee was poured all over it, don't worry about it. By the sounds of your post, it's a small amount of coffee on the outside of the container is that correct? If so, don't worry about it. However I'd suggest washing that portion off with a wet cloth. If you ask your rigger to wash it off I'm sure he will, It's no big deal.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Blahr 0 #3 January 3, 2004 I like my rig black, no cream or sugar for me. It adds calories and I dont want my rig to get fat. I fall fast enough as it is
koz2000 1 #4 January 3, 2004 Mention it to the rigger. The worst case is that the coffee is acidic, (coke is very harmful). The rigger can do a Ph test if you're still worried.______________________________________________ - Does this small canopy make my balls look big? - J. riggerrob 643 #5 January 3, 2004 Coffee is unlikely to damage nylon, however, the cream and sugar will hold dirt and eventually evolve into ugly stains. The first step is to IMMEDIATELY wipe off any external coffee with a damp rag. If the coffee had a chance to sink in, ask your rigger to wash the harness/container. This will add 4 or 5 days to the turn-around time, but your rigger will be glad for the extra work - during his slow season - and you will have peace of mind. AndyMan 7 #6 January 3, 2004 Coffee and most teas have a PH usually somwehere in between 5.2 and 6.0 - meaning it is a very mildly acidic. It is pretty much the least acidic common beverage. Even most soda waters are more acidic. BTW - coke has a PH level of 2.53 and Orange Juice is 3.0. Don't ask me why I know this. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
