andy2 0 #1 August 1, 2003 Can someone please explain the differences between two and one pin rigs to me? Why do some manufacturers offer both two and one pin rigs? Is one more ideal for WS flying and the other more ideal for regular jumping? Note I am not thinking of buying a pin rig as a first rig (or ever at this point) but am merely curious and could not find the answer searching. Thanks! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
ManBird 0 #2 August 1, 2003 I'm thinking of buying a single pin rig (Prism, in particular). As I understand it, it stays closed when it should, opens up slightly faster, but has higher potential to distort the pack job while closing the container. Technically, this wouldn't be my first BASE rig, as I had a Reaktor 4 on which I made a handful of BASE jumps. But being that I haven't flicked off anything in awhile, it feels like my first. Though, I won't mind having it be my only BASE rig."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
